About the course
This three-year degree prepares you to become an ACECQA-approved early childhood teacher for settings working with children from birth to five years. You study early childhood principles, child development, learning and pedagogy, plus contemporary issues such as leadership, arts, and health and wellbeing. Extensive professional experience is included, with placements across early childhood settings and a primary school component to apply learning in real-world practice. The programme develops classroom practice, curriculum knowledge, and educational psychology for teaching professions.

Graduates are prepared for employment in early childhood education settings and related services supporting children from birth to five years. The course builds professional practice capability through extensive supervised placements, supporting readiness for roles in early learning centres, preschools and childcare services.
