About the course
UniSQ’s Bachelor of Education (Primary) is an industry-accredited four-year degree preparing you to teach Prep to Year 6 across all learning areas. You’ll build subject and pedagogy knowledge in areas such as English, maths, science, arts, humanities, technologies, and health and physical education. The program includes 80 days of supervised professional experience and offers flexible study options on campus, online, or blended as a Bachelor-level education qualification. The programme develops classroom practice, curriculum knowledge, and educational psychology for teaching professions.

To graduate from the Bachelor of Education (Primary), you must successfully complete 32 units of study.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared to work as qualified primary school teachers (Prep to Year 6) in Queensland, across Australia, and internationally (subject to local requirements). The teaching skill set can also support roles beyond schools, including positions in human services, community-based government organisations, and recreation and tourism settings. The program is accredited (QCT/AITSL aligned) and supports eligibility to apply for teacher registration as a Bachelor-level teaching qualification.
