About the course
This international design degree combines QUT’s visual communication major with a full year of overseas study at one of QUT’s partner universities. You’ll build skills in graphic and visual communication across traditional and interactive media, strengthening creative problem solving, critical thinking, technical craft and professional practice. You’ll also gain global perspective and industry connections through international experience in a Bachelor degree in design and visual communication.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for visual communication and graphic design roles across print, digital and interactive media, including branding, advertising, illustration, typography and information design. The international study year helps broaden cultural awareness and supports work with global clients and teams. Career pathways include visual/graphic designer, brand or campaign designer, digital content designer, illustrator and studio or in-house design roles, supported by a Bachelor degree in design and visual communication.
