About the course
The Bachelor of Design (Degree with Honours) is a one-year advanced honours program for high-achieving design graduates with a strong interest in research. Students undertake both coursework and a substantial independent research thesis under the guidance of an academic supervisor. The program provides a pathway to graduate research study, including progression to a PhD, and offers specialisations in Architectural History, Theory and Criticism, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Planning.
What you might learn
Students develop advanced research capability through training in research methods and the completion of an independent thesis in a chosen design specialisation. The course builds the capacity for independent, flexible and rigorous inquiry, strengthening academic writing, critical analysis and project management skills.
