About the course
This Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice examines the causes and impacts of crime and antisocial behaviour, and how legal and social policies respond to keep communities safe. You will study areas such as forensic psychology and science, cybercrime, border protection and biosecurity, and violence and trauma. The degree includes community engagement and practical preparation for work in the criminal justice sector at bachelor level. The programme builds legal reasoning, case analysis, and professional ethics for legal practice and public service pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across government and community services involved in crime prevention, investigation and justice policy. Career paths may include policy advisor, intelligence analyst, police or border protection roles, community corrections officer, reintegration worker, security consultant, private investigator, and legal assistant/paralegal. The course supports entry to diverse criminal justice and related law-enforcement careers with a bachelor-level qualification.
