About the course
QUT’s Bachelor of Creative Arts (Music) develops your artistic identity while building practical skills in music creation, performance and production. From first year you create original work in live and recording studio environments and learn contemporary approaches shaped by digital change in the music industry. You can tailor the degree with a second major, minors and electives to broaden your creative practice in music at bachelor level. The programme develops design, animation, visual storytelling, and digital media production for creative industries.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue careers across the contemporary music and sound industries, combining creative practice with production and entrepreneurial skills. Potential pathways include musician or performer, songwriter, composer (including screen/media composition), music producer, recording or studio professional, and roles in music management, promotion and events. The degree also supports portfolio-based work and adaptable careers in the performing arts as a bachelor-qualified music professional.
