About the course
UWA’s Music Theatre major develops your artistry and stagecraft through integrated training in singing, acting and movement, supported by music studies and performance experience. You’ll build practical skills for musical theatre and related live performance contexts while broadening your creative and academic foundations. This is an undergraduate music theatre specialisation within a broader bachelor degree in Performing Arts. The programme develops design, animation, visual storytelling, and digital media production for creative industries.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue work across the creative and performing arts, applying music-theatre skills on stage and in production settings. Typical pathways include performer, creative artist and musical director roles, with some graduates progressing to further study for careers in academia or music teaching. This course supports entry into professional practice and further training in the Performing Arts at undergraduate level.
