About the course
Conservation Biology is an undergraduate major focused on understanding and protecting biodiversity. You’ll learn how to manage and research threatened species and ecological communities, drawing on ecological science and conservation practice. The major supports pathways into conservation work and further study, with opportunities to engage with real environmental challenges in Western Australia in an undergraduate environmental science-focused course. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.

Graduates can pursue roles supporting biodiversity conservation across government agencies, research organisations and conservation-focused institutions.
