About the course

This double degree combines professional communication with science, letting you build strong writing, media and persuasive communication skills alongside scientific knowledge. You complete core communication units and a major in professional communication, plus science core units and a science major. The course is designed to be taken concurrently across both components and is delivered at QUT’s Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses as a bachelor-level program in communication and science.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue roles that connect science with audiences and stakeholders, such as science or technical writer, communications adviser, media and content strategist, public relations officer, engagement specialist, or communications roles in research, government and industry.
