About the course
This four-year combined course integrates the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science with the Master of High Performance Sport. You’ll build foundations in exercise physiology, biomechanics, sport and exercise psychology, skill acquisition, and exercise programming, supported by lectures, tutorials and a work-based placement. In the final year you develop advanced high-performance capability to support athletes, coaches, teams and sporting organisations in applied sport settings.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across elite sport, community sport, rehabilitation and performance settings. Career options include sports or exercise scientist, performance analyst, high-performance manager, rehabilitation consultant, strength and conditioning coach and fitness advisor. The undergraduate component supports eligibility to apply for ESSA registration as an Accredited Exercise Scientist, strengthening pathways into professional sport and exercise science practice. Preparing graduates for research scientist, laboratory leadership, and specialist technical roles in the sciences.
