About the course
UWA’s Combined Bachelor’s of Environmental Science and Arts lets you graduate with two degrees in four years. You’ll follow a defined Environmental Science study plan to understand and improve human impacts on the natural world, while choosing an Arts major from a wide range of options. This double degree builds technical environmental capability alongside transferable communication and critical thinking skills at bachelor level. The programme develops laboratory techniques, scientific writing, and analytical methods for research and industry settings.
Career outcome
This double degree prepares graduates for roles that blend environmental expertise with strong communication and analytical skills. You may work in environmental consulting, regulation and compliance, sustainability, project management, or policy and planning across government, industry and community organisations. The combined training supports work communicating strategies, policies and research to varied audiences with a Bachelor-level background in environmental science and arts. Preparing graduates for laboratory technician, research assistant, and science-based industry entry roles.
Entry requirements
Minimum ATAR 80 (or equivalent). Prerequisites include Mathematics Methods ATAR or Mathematics Applications ATAR, and Chemistry ATAR (or first-year bridging units).
