About the course
This combined (double) degree lets you complete an extended major in Engineering (Honours) alongside an Arts major, graduating with both qualifications in five years (some majors take longer). You’ll build in-demand engineering capability while broadening your understanding of people, culture and society, strengthening communication and critical thinking to support better engineering decision-making. It is an undergraduate engineering and humanities double degree. The programme combines engineering fundamentals, design projects, and industry-ready technical problem-solving skills.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue engineering roles across industry with added strengths in communication, analysis and understanding of social and cultural contexts. The Arts component supports careers where engineers work with communities, policy, media and organisations, and can open pathways into consulting, project work, government, international roles and leadership. Outcomes depend on the chosen engineering specialisation and Arts major in this combined bachelor/honours programme. Preparing graduates for graduate engineer, project support, and technical design roles across engineering sectors.
