About the course
UWA’s Civil Engineering major prepares you to plan, design, construct and maintain civil infrastructure and built-environment projects. You’ll build strong technical and professional skills through a curriculum covering structural and geotechnical engineering, hydrology and hydraulics, surveying, coastal/offshore, construction and transport engineering. The major is designed to develop sustainable, safe and economical engineering practice within an undergraduate civil engineering pathway.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles supporting the design, delivery and management of civil infrastructure such as buildings, roads, bridges, ports and water systems. Career paths commonly include civil/structural/geotechnical or water engineering, transport and construction engineering, project and site engineering, and consulting or government infrastructure teams.
