About the course
This apprenticeship-focused qualification prepares you for fabrication trade work in metal, engineering and manufacturing industries. You’ll build practical capability through integrated on- and off-the-job training or formal trade recognition, covering fabrication tasks such as structural steel work, sheetmetal, welding, blacksmithing and surface finishing. It provides an industry-recognised skills profile for Certificate III-level Engineering Tradesperson (Fabrication) roles. The programme focuses on applied engineering drawings, workshop skills, and technical maintenance competencies.
Career outcome
