Chemical Engineering at UWA prepares you to design and improve sustainable chemical processes, equipment and products that benefit society and the environment. You’ll build industry-ready capability through practical, real-world learning and develop the professional skills employers seek in rapidly changing sectors. This is an undergraduate chemical engineering pathway designed to help you graduate job-ready in engineering. Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles in process and production engineering across energy, mining and resources, as well as fine chemicals and manufacturing. Career pathways also extend to food and consumer products, renewable and alternative energy, government and research agencies (including CSIRO), and technical consulting. This undergraduate chemical engineering major supports entry into diverse industries where chemical engineers design, optimise and scale processes.
