About the course

Combine urban and regional planning with science to design healthier, more sustainable cities and communities. You’ll integrate social and natural sciences to address complex planning and environmental challenges, with a focus on climate-ready urban systems and evidence-based design. The double degree builds strong professional and analytical capability across planning practice and environmental science at bachelor (honours) level. The programme combines engineering fundamentals, design projects, and industry-ready technical problem-solving skills.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue roles that link planning, environment and sustainability across government, consulting and industry. Career paths include urban and regional planner, environmental planner, sustainability or climate adaptation officer, environmental scientist (depending on major), and policy or development assessment roles. You may work on land use planning, transport and infrastructure, precinct development, environmental impact assessment and resilient city strategies as a bachelor (honours) graduate.
