About the course

This hands-on Certificate III builds trade-ready skills in bricklaying and blocklaying for domestic, commercial and public building projects. You’ll learn to use masonry tools and equipment, set out jobs, interpret plans, apply measurements and calculations, and work safely on site including restricted scaffolding. Training includes feature work such as arches, columns, curved walls, steps and ornamental panels for construction industry roles in masonry at Certificate III level. The programme focuses on applied engineering drawings, workshop skills, and technical maintenance competencies.

Career outcome

Graduates are prepared for entry-level work in the construction industry as a bricklayer and blocklayer, supporting residential, commercial and public projects.
