About the course
This double degree major combines anthropology and sociology to build a deeper understanding of human behaviour in a globalised world. You’ll explore culture, diversity, institutions and social groups, and how everyday life is shaped by political, economic and social pressures. Topics include media and communication, gender relations, education, health, work, crime and human rights, with a focus on Australia and the Asia-Pacific context within a bachelor double degree. The programme explores human behaviour, research methods, and applied psychology for community and organisational settings.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles applying social research and cultural analysis across community and policy settings. Typical pathways include anthropologist, sociologist and heritage specialist, working with government, local councils and community engagement teams.
