About the course

The Bachelor of Agricultural Science builds core knowledge across crop and animal production, soils and hydrology, food systems and agricultural economics, with a focus on sustainable production and global food security. You’ll learn contemporary approaches such as digital agriculture, data analytics, sensors and regenerative practices, and develop practical skills through lab and field work and interdisciplinary projects. This is a three-year bachelor degree in agricultural science.

Career outcome

Graduates are prepared for roles across the agriculture and food sectors, applying science and technology to improve productivity and sustainability. Career paths can include agronomy and crop production support, animal production and farm management, soil and water advisory, biosecurity and plant protection, agricultural analytics and digital farming, and work in agribusiness and agricultural markets. This is a bachelor qualification for professional practice in agricultural science. Preparing graduates for laboratory technician, research assistant, and science-based industry entry roles.
