About the course

The focus of this course is accounting practice. It is designed to provide graduates with high-level skills in the field of accounting. As a graduate you will be qualified to pursue a career in a wide variety of occupations.The course allows you to focus your studies from the start, blending a conceptual theoretical framework with practical ‘real-world’ application. The course covers basic discipline material through to more specialised and advanced discipline applications.

What you might learn

You’ll develop strong conceptual and technical capability across key accounting disciplines, learning to classify, verify and analyse financial information and communicate advice to both accountants and non-accountants. The course builds your ability to apply professional judgement, ethical reasoning and regulatory awareness to routine business problems, and to integrate accounting knowledge with related areas such as finance, economics, quantitative methods and information systems.

Career outcome
