About the course

This course develops the knowledge and skills needed for professional accounting practice, with a focus on management, accountability, control and sound financial decision-making. You will build technical and conceptual capabilities to become a competent accountant, including the ability to analyse and synthesise accounting principles, methods and techniques. It is a postgraduate coursework qualification in accounting and finance. The programme strengthens financial analysis, governance, audit, and investment decision-making for professional finance careers.

Career outcome

Graduates, combined with relevant work experience, may pursue roles across small to large organisations, including financial accountant, management accountant, financial auditor, tax auditor/preparer and business or financial analyst. Opportunities may also include work in multinational companies and ‘Big Four’ firms, or employment in local accounting practices. This supports professional pathways from a master’s coursework degree in accounting and finance. Preparing graduates for accounting, audit, financial analysis, and corporate finance leadership roles.
