About the course
The Associate Degree of Engineering (Mechatronics) provides foundational engineering study focused on integrating mechanical systems, electronics and control. You’ll build practical skills through applied learning and develop the technical knowledge needed to support automation and intelligent products. The course can also provide a pathway to further engineering study, with learning aligned to industry practice in mechatronics at associate degree level. The programme focuses on applied engineering drawings, workshop skills, and technical maintenance competencies.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue technical roles supporting the design, testing and maintenance of mechatronic and automated systems across manufacturing, robotics, instrumentation and industrial automation. Typical work settings include engineering teams in product development, plant operations and service organisations where mechanical and electronic systems intersect. This associate degree builds employable skills for entry-level engineering support careers in mechatronics and related engineering industries.
