About the course
This associate degree introduces you to contemporary health science with a focus on health promotion and community wellbeing. You’ll build foundational knowledge for work in public and community health contexts and develop skills relevant to planning and supporting health initiatives. Study on campus at RMIT’s Melbourne City campus and prepare for further study or entry-level roles in the health sector in an Associate Degree in Health Sciences. The programme builds patient care fundamentals, clinical assistance skills, and health workplace practice.

Graduates may pursue entry-level roles supporting health promotion and public health activities across community, government and not-for-profit settings. Typical pathways include work as a community development officer, public health officer, project officer or health promotion officer, assisting with program delivery and stakeholder engagement.
