About the course
This is a joint PhD program between Monash University and the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB). You will undertake your doctoral studies through a collaborative arrangement between Monash University and IITB. At the core of this program is the completion of a substantial research thesis on an agreed topic under the guidance of supervisors from both Monash and IITB. Your research training will also be further enhanced by professional development activities designed to support you in your academic and professional development as per the program you are enrolled into.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for research-led careers across academia, industry, government and the community, supported by experience working with supervisors and research environments at Monash and IITB. Typical pathways include postdoctoral research, university teaching and research roles, R&D positions in science and technology organisations, and specialist analytical roles where independent research and advanced problem-solving are valued in the sciences.
