About the course
The Doctor of Philosophy (Integrated) (Law) is a four-year research degree that integrates early-stage research training with a traditional PhD thesis. You will develop advanced research capabilities and work closely with academic supervisors to investigate a significant legal research problem and produce an original contribution to knowledge. This is a doctoral-level research pathway in Law. The programme develops legal research methodology, scholarly writing, and critical analysis for advanced professional and academic legal practice.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue careers requiring advanced legal research expertise, such as academic and university research roles, policy and legislative analysis, government and regulatory work, think tanks, and research-led positions in legal practice or consultancy. The program also supports progression into specialist research and advisory roles where evidence-based legal analysis is central. This is a doctoral qualification in Law.
