About the course
Undertake an independent PhD research project within RMIT’s aerospace engineering and aviation research community. You’ll work with experienced supervisors to investigate advanced technologies, systems and operations shaping future air and space transport. The program develops high-level research capability through an original thesis and scholarly training, with opportunities to collaborate with industry and research partners in aerospace engineering and aviation.
Career outcome
Graduates typically pursue research-led careers designing, analysing and improving aircraft and aerospace systems, aviation operations and related technologies. Career paths may include academic researcher/lecturer roles, R&D engineer positions, specialist consulting, or technical leadership in aerospace manufacturers, defence and aviation organisations, regulators, and research agencies.
