About the course
Flinders’ Remote Health Practice postgraduate program supports health professionals working in remote areas, and those transitioning into remote practice. Delivered online with placement/intensive components based in Alice Springs, it builds knowledge of remote health and the skills needed to work effectively in remote and Indigenous contexts to improve outcomes. The program includes articulated study options at postgraduate level in Health Sciences. The programme develops health sciences knowledge and practice skills aligned with its qualification level.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles across ageing and disability services, allied health, health management, nursing and Indigenous health, particularly in rural, regional and remote settings. Employment opportunities commonly include government departments and rural/regional aged care and health providers.
