About the course
This professional certificate supports out-of-field teachers to strengthen their capacity to teach mathematics and improve students’ numeracy outcomes. Delivered online over 12 weeks, it blends workplace learning, self-access study and guided mentoring, and is developed with the Mathematics Association of NSW. The micro-credential provides a Certificate of Attainment and can give credit toward a Master of Education in education and teaching. The programme develops education knowledge and teaching-related skills aligned with its qualification level.

Graduates can enhance their practice as primary or secondary teachers (Years 7–10) who are required to teach mathematics outside their original specialisation. Entry requirements
Applicants must be an Australian resident and currently employed as a registered teacher in a Primary or Secondary classroom setting in Australia; letter of employment and evidence of registration is required.
