About the course
This combined undergraduate and postgraduate course builds specialist knowledge of marine life alongside an understanding of the physical processes shaping coastal marine environments. You’ll study marine and environmental science in an integrated pathway designed to prepare you for work addressing challenges such as coastal protection, aquaculture and sustainable management of ocean environments. The programme is delivered on campus at UWA in Perth. The programme deepens scientific methodology, data interpretation, and applied research skills for laboratory and field-based careers.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue careers where marine and environmental expertise intersect, including coastal and marine environmental consulting, conservation and resource management, aquaculture and fisheries support, marine research assistance, and roles in government or industry focused on ocean sustainability. The combined Bachelor and Master pathway supports progression into specialist positions working on monitoring, impact assessment and management of coastal marine systems. Preparing graduates for research scientist, laboratory leadership, and specialist technical roles in the sciences.
