About the course
This degree apprenticeship lets you work for an industry partner while studying mechanical engineering at RMIT. Over five years you complete two mechanical engineering qualifications through on-campus learning and paid, structured workplace experience. The program is designed to build professional capability while you apply engineering theory to real projects, supported by RMIT and the employer throughout the apprenticeship in mechanical engineering. The programme develops engineering knowledge and technical skills aligned with its qualification level and industry expectations.

Graduates can pursue mechanical engineering roles that blend design, analysis and practical implementation in industry settings. Career pathways may include mechanical engineer, graduate engineer, project or production engineer, maintenance or reliability engineer, and roles in advanced manufacturing and related sectors.
