About the course
This accredited civil engineering honours degree focuses on designing, constructing and maintaining the built environment such as buildings, roads, bridges, tunnels and dams. You’ll build a strong foundation in mechanics, mathematics and engineering design, then progress to specialist civil topics including surveying, soil mechanics, structural design, hydrology, transport engineering, construction technology and site management, with teamwork and project-based problem solving throughout. This is an AQF Level 8 Bachelor Honours in civil engineering.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across civil infrastructure planning, design, construction and asset management. Opportunities include work in consulting engineering, government and utilities, and construction and project delivery organisations, contributing to transport, water, structural and geotechnical projects. Skills in analysis, design, site management, teamwork and leading complex projects support pathways into graduate civil engineer and related professional roles. This is a Bachelor Honours qualification in civil engineering.
