About the course
This Child and Adolescent Health Nursing specialisation is a four-unit online pathway for registered nurses studying within Curtin’s postgraduate nursing offerings, including the Master of Advanced Practice. It focuses on early-intervention strategies for children and adolescents across individual, family and community contexts, and strengthens evidence-based planning and clinical decision-making. Learning is supported by a clinical placement and a short pre-clinical skills workshop in Perth.
Career outcome
Graduates can use this specialisation to strengthen practice in child and adolescent health across community and primary healthcare settings. It supports roles involving early-intervention planning, family-centred care, and collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams in services such as child and family health, school and community health programs, and youth health services.
