About the course
UWA’s Architecture Pathways outline a structured route to becoming an architect, combining an undergraduate degree with an extended major in Architecture and a subsequent Master of Architecture. You’ll develop design capability through studio-based learning with close teaching support, alongside studies in design communication, sustainability, and architectural history and theory. This professional pathway typically takes a minimum of five years in Architecture & Building.
Career outcome
This pathway prepares you for progression toward professional practice in architecture, leading to graduate architect status after completing the required undergraduate and Master of Architecture study. Graduates may work in architectural practices, urban and community design settings, or built-environment consultancies, contributing to building and place-making projects from concept development through to design documentation.
