About the course

This Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) accredited degree develops advanced skills to plan more liveable, sustainable cities and regions. You’ll explore social, economic and environmental challenges and learn to navigate political, administrative and legislative planning frameworks ethically. The course builds capability in planning law and practice and includes engagement with real-world projects supported by industry partners, preparing graduates for master-level professional planning work in the built environment.

What you might learn

Develop high-level capability to apply urban and regional planning theory within governance frameworks; critically analyse planning practice and generate solutions; evaluate and synthesise research; communicate effectively in written, graphical and oral formats; use planning technologies; work ethically with cultural awareness and collaboratively in professional contexts relevant to urban and regional planning.
