About the course
Deakin’s Master of Teaching (Secondary) prepares graduates to teach in secondary schools through a mix of professional learning and substantial classroom placement. The course embeds the Berry Street Education Model to build trauma‑informed strategies for inclusive, engaging learning environments and strong teacher–student relationships. You can choose a specialisation with research elements and may join the Global Education Program. This is a master’s qualification in secondary education.
