About the course
This Master of Teaching (Secondary) prepares graduates to teach in secondary schools through a blend of evidence-based coursework and substantial school experience. You’ll build professional knowledge of adolescent learning, motivation and effective classroom practice, with at least 60 days of placement in Victorian secondary schools supported by mentor teachers. The course also offers an employment-based pathway with scholarship support and paid school employment components for eligible students in secondary education.

Graduates are qualified to teach in secondary schools across government, Catholic and independent sectors. Career options include working as a secondary classroom teacher in Victoria, interstate or overseas, as well as related education roles such as tutoring and broader teaching support positions.
