About the course
The Master of Teaching (Primary) is a graduate-entry pre-service program designed for those seeking qualification as a primary school teacher. It builds on prior study to develop curriculum and pedagogical expertise for teaching children aged 5–12. You will develop capability across all primary learning areas, with opportunities to shape a specialisation in a primary curriculum area, and graduate classroom-ready for contemporary school settings. The programme enhances curriculum leadership, pedagogical innovation, and educational policy understanding for professional educators.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles in primary school teaching across government, independent and Catholic/faith-based schools (subject to registration requirements). The degree also supports pathways into education research and academia, curriculum and learning design, education consulting, adult learning, and roles in curriculum development or education policy. Careers are focused on professional practice and leadership in primary education at master’s level.
