About the course

This graduate certificate builds educators’ capability to recognise the impacts of childhood and refugee trauma on learning and wellbeing. You’ll develop trauma-responsive strategies to create safe, trusting and inclusive learning environments across education settings. Grounded in social justice and practice architecture theory, the course links multidisciplinary insight with practical approaches you can apply in schools and related contexts. This is a Graduate Certificate in Education & Teaching.

Career outcome

Graduates can strengthen trauma-informed practice in classrooms and education services by improving how they support learners affected by abuse, violence, displacement and neglect. The course supports roles where educators design safer learning environments, advise on trauma-responsive approaches, and contribute to policy and practice improvement within schools, community and youth services. It is suited to teachers and education professionals working in Education & Teaching settings at graduate-certificate level.
