About the course
This postgraduate engineering specialisation develops advanced capability in mechatronics and automation, combining mechanical design with electronics, sensors, actuators and software. You’ll learn to design intelligent machines and automated solutions relevant to areas such as robotics, agriculture and renewable energy. The specialisation can include a supervised research project or an industry internship within the Master of Engineering (Professional) in engineering.

Graduates can pursue roles designing, integrating and improving automated and mechatronic systems across many sectors. Typical pathways include automation or mechatronic engineer, robotics or R&D engineer, control and instrumentation engineer, systems engineer, solutions architect, or human–machine interface designer.
