About the course
This honours civil engineering degree prepares you to plan, design and construct infrastructure across the built environment, from transport networks to buildings and water systems. You’ll build technical and professional capability with on-campus learning and required block labs for online students. The course includes a Co-operative Industry Placement model, giving paid industry experience to support work-ready engineering practice in civil engineering at bachelor (honours) level.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across civil infrastructure planning, design, construction and asset management in consulting firms, contractors and government. Career options include civil, project, design or construction engineer, as well as structural, transport, water/hydraulic, geotechnical or materials and testing engineer. The paid cooperative placement supports practical experience and professional readiness for engineering careers in civil engineering at bachelor (honours) level.
