About the course
UNSW’s Master of Public Health / Master of Global Health (Extension) develops advanced capability to improve population health locally and internationally. You’ll build skills in public health practice and global health approaches, drawing on evidence, policy and program perspectives. The extension format provides additional study to deepen expertise and broaden professional options in public and global health at a Master coursework level. The programme develops advanced clinical reasoning, health leadership, and evidence-based practice for complex care environments.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across public health and global health in government, NGOs, international agencies, research and health services. Typical pathways include public health officer, epidemiology or health promotion roles, program and policy advisor, monitoring and evaluation specialist, and global health project roles. The degree supports progression into leadership and specialist practice in health systems and population health at a Master coursework level. Preparing graduates for clinical leadership, health management, and advanced nursing or allied health specialist roles.
