About the course
ACU’s Master of Public Health (Global Health and Advocacy) builds specialist public health knowledge and skills to improve population health and wellbeing, with an ethical and social justice focus. The degree prepares you to work across community, national and global contexts, with a second-year specialisation in global health and advocacy. Students can choose either a Research Pathway with a minor thesis or a Capstone Pathway via a practice-based project. The programme develops advanced clinical reasoning, health leadership, and evidence-based practice for complex care environments.
Career outcome
Graduates may work across public health roles in government, health services and community organisations, applying population-health approaches to program planning, advocacy and service improvement. The course supports careers in not-for-profit and humanitarian settings, health education, and project coordination/management, with a focus on global health priorities such as sustainable development and food security. Outcomes align with Master-level practice in Health Sciences and public health.
