About the course
QUT’s Bachelor of Human Services prepares you to support individuals, families and communities experiencing social and economic adversity. You’ll study contemporary human services practice, advocacy and policy, and build practical skills through extensive field education. The course includes 500 hours of professional placement and offers flexibility to explore areas such as youth, mental health, Indigenous health and community work in a Bachelor-level human services program.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across community and government services, supporting people through case work, community development and program delivery. Career paths may include human services officer, community worker, youth or family support worker, mental health support roles, housing and corrections services, and policy or program officer positions. The degree also provides a foundation for further study and leadership in Sociology & Social Work-related human services careers. Preparing graduates for nursing, allied health, and community care professional registration and graduate roles.
