About the course
This Master of Philosophy within UOW’s Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health provides the opportunity to undertake an independent research project under academic supervision. Students develop advanced research capability, including problem definition, methodology design, analysis and scholarly writing, culminating in a thesis. The Nursing research area supports original inquiry that can inform clinical practice, health services and policy in nursing. The programme advances health sciences research through evidence-based inquiry, clinical context, and supervised thesis development.
Career outcome
Graduates build strong research and analytical skills suited to roles that require evidence generation and critical evaluation. Opportunities may include research assistant or officer roles, clinical research coordination, health service evaluation, policy and program analysis, and pathway preparation for doctoral study.
