About the course
This honours program is designed for nursing graduates to plan and complete a supervised research project focused on nursing practice. You complete two coursework subjects in the first semester, then undertake a research project and write a thesis. The program can be completed alongside a hospital new graduate transitional program, supporting development of research capability in a Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in Nursing. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles that apply advanced nursing knowledge and research skills across a range of health settings. Career directions may include community health, mental health services, disability and rehabilitation services, aged care, and roles in research or education. This Bachelor Degree / Honours Degree in Nursing supports pathways into evidence-based practice and research-informed nursing careers.
