About the course
The Master of Philosophy in the Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health is a research degree that lets you undertake an independent project under academic supervision. You will develop advanced research skills and contribute new knowledge in a chosen discipline area, supported by UOW’s research environment and facilities. This is a Masters by research focused on Medicine. The programme advances health sciences research through evidence-based inquiry, clinical context, and supervised thesis development.
Career outcome
Graduates build strong capabilities in research design, analysis and scholarly communication, preparing for roles that value advanced investigation skills. Outcomes commonly include research assistant or officer roles, clinical or health research positions, higher degree research pathways such as a PhD, and work in universities, hospitals, government or industry. This is a Masters by research pathway in Medicine. Preparing graduates for health research, clinical leadership, and doctoral study in nursing and health sciences.
