About the course
This Master of Philosophy by research lets you undertake a substantial thesis in mathematical sciences, aligned with staff expertise. Research areas may include applied and discrete mathematics, numerical analysis, operations research and statistics, with topics often linked to real problems from industry and government. You will work closely with supervisors to develop and complete an original research project in the mathematical sciences. The programme advances scientific inquiry through supervised laboratory or field research, data analysis, and thesis-based discovery.
