About the course
This accelerated combined Bachelor of Vision Science/Master of Optometry lets you graduate in 3.5 years via ten consecutive trimesters. You study vision science, ocular structure and function, and the clinical assessment, treatment and management of eye and vision disorders, supported by placements and a final student residency. Training includes practice management and professional standards, preparing you to apply for optometry registration. This is an undergraduate optometry program in vision science and eye health.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for work as optometrists, with clinical experience gained through industry placements and a supervised residency in metropolitan and regional/rural settings.
