About the course
The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is a higher degree by research completed through an independent research project in the broad area of society and culture. Over two years full-time (or part-time equivalent), you work closely with an academic supervisory team to produce a substantial thesis or a creative portfolio supported by an exegesis. The course develops advanced research capability in Society and Culture at masters-by-research level. The programme emphasises independent research, methodology, and thesis development aligned with the discipline's scholarly standards.

This MPhil supports pathways into roles requiring advanced research skills across universities, industry, community organisations and government agencies.
