About the course
Monash is the only pharmacy course in Victoria to offer a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) course followed by a Masters of Pharmacy course that is integrated with paid a work-based internship. This means that in the same amount of time it takes to become a pharmacist in any other Australian course, you can extend your practice skills and earn two degrees. The BPharm(Hons)/MPharm vertical double degree has two entry pathways - direct-from-school entry and graduate entry. Either pathway will prepare you for a rewarding and portable career.
Career outcome
These course outcomes are aligned with the Australian Qualifications Framework Level 8 and Level 9 and Monash Graduate Attributes. Upon successful completion of this course it is expected that students will be able to: Stage 1: Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) 1. relate knowledge and skills attained in all themes of the course (structure and function of the body; drug structure, disposition and action; professional practice; comprehensive care; inquiry and innovation; and professional experience) to the pharmacy practice context 2.
